Description

This session focuses on the principles of “bridging” from IE program to school material. The initial point for “bridging” is an IE task from which a cognitive principle is derived. Then this cognitive principle becomes a basis for developing activities relevant to a one or another of curricular areas. In this way IE program via generalized cognitive principles becomes connected to cognitive aspects of curricular learning. A number of examples from the area of reading and mathematics illustrate the mechanism of “bridging”.
