Description
This lesson elaborates on different parameters of mental acts that can be analyzed with the help of Cognitive Map. The construction of Instrumental Enrichment and LPAD materials as well as the didactics of their application is based on the careful consideration of the nature of IE and LPAD tasks and various mental operations required for performing them. The Cognitive Map is a conceptual tool that helps analyzing the interaction between learner’s cognitive actions and the parameters of the task relevant to these actions. Seven parameters of the Cognitive Map are described and analyzed during this lesson and specific examples of cognitive activities are given. Finally, Professor Feuerstein shows the ways in which various parameters of Cognitive Map interact with each other and how they impact on learner’s functioning.
