Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Basic Trainers courses are open to those individuals who have completed their Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Basic Study, have evidence of at least 100 hours of work with the Basic instruments, have submitted all related documentation, and have been approved to participate in trainer training.

Prerequisites:

The prerequisites for participation in the FIE Basic Trainers Level 2 course include a. successful completion of the FIE Basic Trainers Level 1 course;  b. Submittal of Evidence of Practice to Feuerstein Institute pertaining to practice as FIE Basic Trainers level 1 in the language of the course to be taken. Submission of Evidence of Practice to reflect at least 45 hours of work as a co-trainer, and to include the standard report of IE Basic training/supervision implementation (to be obtained from FI), two Training session plans (mandatory), articles (optional), videos and other material pertaining to training administered (optional). The candidates must comply with the CPD conditions up until the presentation of candidacy, submit the recommendation of either their FIE supervisor, a senior staff member of the school where the trainer taught or any other person who supervised the candidate’s teaching and professional training activities. The candidates are expected to be able to take the FIE Basic Trainer level 2 course in English. Feuerstein Institute reserves the right to reject candidature on the basis of committee members’ opinions that the candidate has not met the established requirements for acceptance.

Course participants should bring their own set of FIE Basic instruments and FIE Basic manual.

Certification: 

Successful graduates of the FIE Basic Trainers Level 2 course will qualify as FIE Basic Trainers Level 2 and will be entitled to use their certificate in the following ways: a. Teaching teachers and other professionals the IE Basic courses, on condition that the courses comply with the course provisions as stipulated by FI; b. Teaching teachers and other professionals are permissible only in the country of residence of the teacher, or in the country(ies) specified in the alliance agreement with the Feuerstein Institute. c. Teaching teachers and other professionals requires signing an alliance agreement with Feuerstein Institute as an ATA, ATC (Authorized Training Center) or working as a staff member of an existent ATC. The certificate is valid for six years from its issue date. A renewal of the certificate is dependent on renewal training (CPD) consisting of the following: a. If operating as an ATA, submission of standard training reports as required by the ATA agreement. b. If operating in the context of an ATC, ensure that courses taught by you are properly reported in the annual report of the ATC to FI, as stipulated in the ATC contract. c. Completion of a Trainer’s Renewal Course once every six years (given in the annual Feuerstein Summer Workshops)

Trainers must either sign an agreement with the Feuerstein Institute establishing themselves as an ATA/ATC or be employed by an existing ATC. Trainers are forbidden from teaching the Feuerstein Method without having an existing contract in place.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

The Feuerstein Institute reserves the right to cancel any courses which fail to meet the minimum participation requirement. Fees for courses canceled by the Institute will be refunded in full.

In cases where the participants cancel, there is a €100 processing charge for reimbursement of workshop fees for cancellations made before the registration deadline. There are no refunds for cancellations after June 1, 2022.
